Welcome to the Senalik Family History Blog. I am going to use this to report information as I find it. I have discovered more tidbits of information that I plan on reporting here. Yesterday I reviewed the immigration record for Jan Szynalik.  He left Hamburg April 7, 1908 on the Kaiserin Auguste Victoria and arrived in New York on April 17.  It records his mother’s name as Marya.  In looking at adjacent records, I have discovered that he came with his sister Elzbieta Bartosik and her two children Jan and Wladyslaw.  Elzbieta was born May 18, 1881 and died in April 1973 in Clinton IL.  It indicates that they were headed for Atchison Kansas, although I don’t know if they ever got there.  More on the Bartosik family later.
